- EV Drive-to-Own is a program that allows drivers to rent a car from Spring Free EV through weekly payments, and after 4 years, drivers can own the car.
- There are 962 miles included per week with a cost of $0.28 per excess mile - Extra miles from a busy week can help you reach ownership sooner, or be applied as a payment credit during weeks when you drive less. - This program offers flexibility; in the first 6 months, drivers can opt out of the program with 30 days notice and receive a refund of their $1,000 initial deposit (less any amounts owed).
4 year contract:
- $270 /week (inclusive of taxes and fees)
- 962 miles included per week
- $1,000 refundable deposit

- Maintenance and repairs for non-consumables such as all major EV parts, charging system, drivetrain, battery pack, and suspension system, among others. Drivers cover all other maintenance and repair costs, including routine wear-and-tear like tires and windshield wipers.
- Electric Vehicle Battery Warranty that provides coverage for 250,000 total vehicle miles
- 24/7 Roadside Assistance
- Drivers must have Gold, Platinum or Diamond Uber Pro status
- Insurance is NOT included, drivers are required to secure vehicle insurance. Ask Spring Free EV about insurance requirements.
- After enrollment in the program, drivers are required to complete at least 120 Uber trips per month throughout the term of their contract. There is an optional 1 month trip holiday per year, where no Uber trips are required with 30 days advance notice to Spring Free EV. Drivers are still required to make their weekly payment during a trip holiday.
- A refundable deposit of $1,000 is required. The deposit is refundable if you exit the program in the first 6 months of the term. If you reach the end of the term and wish to own the vehicle, the security deposit will be applied to the purchase price of the car without any additional seller fees.
- A soft credit check may be performed by Spring Free EV. The soft credit check has no impact on your credit score.
- A valid debit or credit card.
- Save on Gas: The cost of charging is typically much cheaper than gas—often less than half the cost.**
- Uber Comfort: Polestar 2s are eligible for Uber Comfort trips, as long as you have completed at least 100 trips and maintain a rating of at least 4.85 stars.
