You can reserve KINTO Share vehicles by the week from select locations using the KINTO Share Canada app. Contactless pick-up. Unlock your assigned vehicle with your phone, drive, and return the car when you’re done. Customers will be charged the full amount of the rental at the time of booking. 7 day reservation allows 3 extensions for a maximum rental of 28 days. To get started:
- Download the KINTO Share Canada app (available on iOS and Android)
- Sign-up with KINTO Share Canada in the app
- Once approved, you can begin booking your KINTO Share vehicle in the app
- Save on Gas: The average EV driver saves at least $2,000/year on gas (the more you drive, the more you save).**
- Must be age 21 or older
- A smartphone with the Uber Driver App and KINTO Share Canada app installed
- Drivers must be able to drive legally in the province of use with an active in-province licence for at least one year
- A debit/credit card in driver’s name- No prepaid cards accepted
- Must be eligible to complete passenger trips with Uber
*You must meet and maintain at all times the following eligibility criteria to become and remain a KINTO Share member as a driver on the Uber platform.
General
- Be at least 21 years old
- Meet the minimum years of driving experience in your city
- Clear a background check from KINTO Share
- Valid Class 1, 2, or 4 driver’s licence
Traffic Offences
- If you are under 26 years of age, have no more than one minor traffic violation (cell phone or distracted driving violations, failure to stop, seatbelt violation) committed within or outside of Canada;
- If you are 26 years of age or over, have no more than two minor traffic violations (cell phone or distracted driving violations, failure to stop, seatbelt violation) in the past three years committed within or outside of Canada;
- Have no major traffic violations (such as speeding 50 km over the speed limit, failure to report an accident, speeding in a school zone) in the past three years within or outside Canada;
- Have no driving related criminal/serious convictions (such as impaired driving, carrying hazardous substances, driving while licence under suspension, speeding 60km or more over the speed limit) in the past three years
Criminal Offences
Have no criminal convictions in the last seven years for any of the following:
- Violent crime
- Indictable offence
- Drug-related offence
- Sexual offence
- Theft or property damage offence
- Other violations will be evaluated at our sole discretion;
We reserve the right to revoke your KINTO Share membership at any time for any reason, including the suspension of your licence with Uber.
